As a foundation focused on drilling water wells in Africa would greatly benefit from owning or operating a drill truck, due to the region's challenging terrain and the technical demands of accessing clean groundwater. Many parts of Africa, particularly in rural or arid areas like Mwanza, have hard, rocky soil or deep aquifers that require heavy-duty drilling equipment to penetrate effectively. This often involves drilling to depths of 100 meters or more to avoid contaminated surface water. A drill truck provides mobility, allowing the team to transport the rig, compressors, and supporting tools across vast, remote landscapes with poor infrastructure, where fixed-site machinery would be impractical. This self-contained vehicle also enhances efficiency by enabling rapid setup and relocation between villages, reducing downtime and costs associated with renting equipment or hiring external contractors. Ultimately, investing in a drill truck empowers H3 to scale its operations, respond quickly to community needs, and ensure sustainable access to safe drinking water, thereby combating issues such as waterborne diseases and poverty in underserved areas.

Currently, we have lined up over 30 schools in Mwanza, Tanzania, that urgently require access to clean water. We have successfully drilled one well in the region; however, this necessitated the rental of a mechanized drill truck, as our manual human-powered drill is ineffective against the prevalent hard rock formations. Acquiring our own drill truck would enable us to efficiently install numerous additional life-saving clean water wells in Mwanza and throughout other regions of Eastern Africa.
