PROJECTS AND BUDGETS FOR 2004

Projects scheduled for the 2004 year include the following:

H & H Chapter 1

• 3000 twin or full size quilts $11.00 x 3000 = $33,000

Mothers Without Borders

This is a completely packaged project for this year:

• 60,000 School Kits. These will be manufactured by Rose Ann Gunther's Group mentioned below.
  
  
• $5.00 per pair of shoes for 60,000 students = $300,000
  
  
• $200 for 12 months of warehousing = $2400
  
  
• $1000 local transport, insurance, truck rental, purchase packing materials to prepare items for containers
  
  
• $10,000 in shipping costs
  
  
• $4000 for in country costs includes: labor, warehousing, getting items out of customs, fuel
  
  

Total needed for this project = $317, 400

Rose Ann Gunther Group

In January 2004, 5000 newborn kits were manufactured and assembled by 230 people in about 2 1/2 hours. An additional 10,615 hygiene kits were manufactured and assembled during the week of January 26, 2004. Between January and June of 2004 an approximate 50,000 school kits, newborn kits, hygiene kits, safe birth kits and much more have been manufactured.

Other up coming projects includes:

• Two 10,000 lb. containers will be fill for the war-torn country of Chad, Africa. This shipment will go out September 1, 2004. A list of the items needed can be found at www.worldserviceprojects.org
  
  
• Rose Ann's group will be manufacturing the 60,000 school kits for Mothers Without Borders, Project Concern and UNICEF (United Nations) as previously mentioned. $8.00 x 60,000 = $480,000
  
  
• 30,000 hand towels to be manufactured for 45,000 hygiene kits for the BYU Women's Conference in April. $1.00 each x 30,000 = $30,000
  
  
• 5000 safe birth kits for Mothers Without Borders and Project Concern $8.00 x 5000 = $40,000
  
  

Additional projects include:

• School tuition for children in Equador = $30 per child, uniforms $10.00 each
• Medical supplies needed in Equador - iron supplements
• Any other donations including: warm clothing, food, simple toys

Total needed: $10,000

Total needed for these projects = $560,000
